Post-screening discussion

The University of British Columbia Okanagan (FCCS) and Okanagan College are hosting the film series, Welcome to the Anthropocene: Now What? The first film to be screened as part of the series will be Anthropocene, which will be shown on October 25 at 7pm. This film examines whether human impact has tipped the planet into a new geological epoch, the Anthropocene, with all of its political, social and behavioral implications.

The aim of this film series is not merely to discuss the “Now What?”, although that is a starting point, but also to encourage action and to seek not only individual but also societal policy changes where the environment and the Anthropocene collide in the name of capitalism.
